ADCIRC Boundary Condition for Jacksonville Harbor Navigation Channel Design Modeling

Project Summary:

The purpose of the ADCIRC modeling effort is to provide improved boundary conditions for the navigation channel design modeling which utilizes the hydrodynamic model RMA, to provide boundary conditions for EFDC salinity modeling, used to assess impacts of channel modifications to salinity, cumulative impacts (Mayport Deepening, Freshwater Withdrawals, etc.) and to provide boundary conditions for a coupled hydrodynamic, wave, and sediment transport model (CMS) which will be used for an analysis of channel shoaling due to coarse material near the St Johns River entrance, and to assess impacts of the navigation channel on sediment transport in areas adjacent to the entrance.
